A while ago we featured the Jonny Quest intro done up by Roger Evans as a stop motion animated piece. Now Roger is looking to make a full on stop-motion episode, and is seeking funding through Kickstarter.

A year ago, I posted my stop motion valentine to the coolest animated TV show ever made. To be clear, this was an art project and I did it for my own personal satisfaction. I also thought maybe, just maybe there might be a few hundred JQ fans around the country that would enjoy this. Boy was I wrong. My 90 second, stop motion recreation of the JQ title sequence went viral, amassing hundreds of thousands of hits from around the world. Interviews and calls came in from far and wide about the project (see links below).
But most importantly, I have received tons of emails from people wanting to see more; wanting to see a FULL EPISODE done in the very same style.
And I agree.
It should be pointed out that this is a fan film project, as Roger doesn’t mention anything about having support from Hanna-Barbera Productions. Still, it looks like a cool project and I’d be interested to see it if it receives the $65,000 Mr. Evans is looking for.

Be nice if this was a real show. Place it in the adult swim line up.
When finished, I do plan on pitching the idea to HB of refinishing all the episodes with this method. But I need a complete episode to show them what it would look like. So here’s keeping our collective fingers crossed! :)
