There is a crispness in the air that signals the end of summer and the beginning of fall, and that means Halloween is just around the corner. We’re hoping you’ll celebrate our love of the holiday by entering the Annual Major Spoilers Costume Contest.
We want you, yes you, to send us pictures of your bad self dressed up as your favorite hero, villain, side-kick – really any comic book/pop culture character. The best costume will not only be hailed as the Grand Prize Winner in Major Spoilers’ 2012 Costume Contest, you’ll also get an awesome prize.

Last year everyone went nuts when we announced we were giving away an iPad, so guess what? We’re giving away an iPad again this year!
BUT THAT IS NOT ALL!
We know people love to win prizes, so this year we have a prize for the runner up.
Life size 1:1 scale replica from the acclaimed Portal Video Game. Measures nearly 30″ in length. It features both orange and red LED lights and unique sounds. A 3 way switch allows you to select orange, red, or off and when you pull the trigger you activate the ”firing” sound.
You Want More!? Okay… We’ll also have a nice something or other for the third place winner.
Here’s what you have to do:
Send three to four pictures of yourself in your costume (and one sans costume – you must have an out of costume picture of yourself) to us by October 20, 2012. Make sure you include your name, address, and the character you are supposed to be (please, no made up characters). The pictures for the entry MUST have been taken in the last 24 months. The Major Spoilers crew, will narrow the list to five contestants, and readers will then vote on their favorite. The winner will be announced October 31st.

Kablammakus has his own hero history. Does that mean a Kablammakus costume is acceptable for this contest?
If you can make it awesome, sure. But simply wearing a T-Shirt from the Major Spoilers store alone, isn’t going to cut it.
Curses! My flawless plan has been foiled!
I’ll have to see if I can get things to work out this year. Two biggest problems are having access to a camera or scanner (I’m broke and live in the middle of nowhere, cut me some slack!) and availability and weather conditions of the perfect background (because I’m picky like that and won’t settle on something like “Supergirl in the living room”).
This is my favorite time of the year. I love this contest!
Do the have to be costumes you made yourself, or can it be one you commissioned. It’s not a store bought, I had it custom made but still I didn’t do the work, I just wear it. :)
