I remember when the 1990 version came out, folks were touting it for its innovative depiction of what a colony on another planet might be like. Although i thoroughly enjoyed the film, I didn’t find much difference between their colony and one that is in the movie The Ice Pirates (1984). I can’t wait to see what they do with this one, and whether our views of offworld life have changed.
