One of the big questions I have asked time and time again when talking about superhero fights is, “Who cleans up this mess and pays for the damages?” Farmers Insurance has teamed with Marvel to give those of us in the real world something to think about.
And if you think J.K. Simmons appearing in this spot is a bit meta, take the jump for some behind the scenes actions.
By the way, the commercial above was directed by Roman Coppola, son of Francis Ford Coppola.

Even though they haven’t been seen lately (I think since World War Hulk) Damage Control is usually the guys who clean up after all the fussin’ and fightin’.
And Seriously J.K? Not one yell for that no-good photographer Parker, or for pictures of that webbed menace Spider-Man?
I liked this commercial so very much more than that awful Avengers/frozen pizza commercial.
But I do tend to get a laugh out of most of the Farmers Insurance commercials anyway. The fact it was tied in to promote Avengers just made it that much more amusing.
