Warning: Pregnant women, the elderly, and children under 10 should avoid prolonged exposure to the Robot Overlord. Robot Overlord may suddenly accelerate to dangerous speeds. The Robot Overlord contains a liquid core, which if exposed due to rupture, should not be touched, inhaled, or looked at. If Robot Overlord begins to smoke, get away immediately. Seek shelter and cover head. Do not taunt the Robot Overlord.
Gotta go with the mutants. if the Avengers mess up a job everyones like oh poor avengers we still love you, but being a mutant means that even when you’re doing right for the greater good the masses still look down on you.
I vote for The Fantastic Four, The World’s Greatest Superteam! In any crisis, I’d always be praying it was them turning up. The X-Men are whiny and The Avengers are generally arrogant jerks. I want a Fantastic Four option! They’d fix the Phoenix easy (given 15 mins for Reed Richards to prepare of course). Any hero on hero fighting would be strickly because someone ticked off Ben again. Or ticked off Namor, or Magneto, or Wolverine or… ok never mind that point, it is the Marvel Universe!
Avengers assembly required! Okay as teams there’s not much to seperate them I just sick of the X-men’s soap opera shenanagins. For me the real draw is the prospect of Wolverine having to kick his own ass.
I haven’t read any x-men book in a long, long time. And their movies have been ooh-soo-bad.
On the other hand i love “Avengers Earth´s Mightiest Heros” and the cinematic movies of the individual Avengers – Sooooo
AVENGERS DISASSEMBLE THE MUTANT MENACE!!!
Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, of course.
This may start as a balanced fight, but half the X-Men have been Avengers and the other half are wannabes. Couple that with the fact that X-Men heel-turn faster than a wrestler on Friday and you’ll have a whole team of ex-X-Men Avengers beating the snot out of the leftovers.
I voted for the X-men because they have Wolverine………sorry what did you say?! Wloverines on the Avengers too! How can that man be in so many places at once?! I can I voted for the X-men because they have the hotter chicks!
No really I picked Avengers. I know that all of the characters on both sides have been around long enough to pick up all sorts of extra powers, but I’ve always seen the top-tier Avengers as a bit more powerful than the top-tier X-Men.
I cannot bring myself to pull against Captain America. Plus if this could happen in the real world (taking out a possible lethal menace before it can get there….nah, couldn’t happen today…) I’d be on Cap’s side anyway since Scott Summers no longer has the “moral high ground”. Plus, I just want to see someone kick Namor’s ass…I mean really KICK HIS ASS.
Sadly the only one winning is Marvel’s pocket, this is literally an artificial conflict with a half-assed plot-line so they can grab people’s attention (read money) with a versus schtick…
I went with the X-men. Mostly because back in the 70s and 80s, when I read both series, the X-men titles were consistently better books in my opinion, and the overarching story line made sense; but the Avengers, on the other hand, always seemed like a thrown together mess containing whichever heroes whose books weren’t selling so well at the time. SubMariner isn’t selling well? Make him an Avenger. Hulk isn’t selling well, make him an Avenger. Thor isn’t selling well? Make him an Avenger. And there was usually no continuity between what the characters were doing in the Avengers and what they were doing in their main book. At least, until they spun the Mutants off into 27 different monthly titles and put Wolverine into every Marvel book, the X-men stayed consistent for a good long time.
I’m going with The Avengers on this one. It’s all in the title, in the end they’ll end up avenging all kinds of stuff. Maybe they’ll even win in the process.
I would have loved a third option that was something akin to “Really Don’t Care
I hate it when Stephen provides that option, to be honest. One of the great things about Major Spoilers is the relative lack of people yelling “I don’t care!” back at anything we write… I got the whole Intarweb if I want to know what people don’t care about. :D
I went with the X-men… mainly because Cable’s new the future is doomed is no longer because of Apocalypse but now because of the avengers winning… That and a women in spandex with the Phoenix force outlining her is always hot on paper! …. …. the last reason isn’t really valid I just felt it amusing.

I voted for the X-Men though it it really doesn’t matter who wind since thing will be back to status quo by the end.
I would’ve liked a third option. I’m rooting for a big bad to show up right at the time when everyone’s worn down from fighting each other.

I’m on whatever side The Punisher is on.
It doesn’t matter who I vote for because the way I see it we’re all winners!!
-Sincerley, the collective bank accounts of MARVEL

I had to go with X-Men because even though I haven’t read the title in a few years, they are still one of my favorite comic book teams.

I picked Champions! They took out Godzilla!

Is it me or does Cap look completely insane in that picture?
Which side is Beast on?
seriously… as soon as I know for sure, then that’s the team I’m voting for!

I love the Avengers, and I’m not a huge x-men fan, but I would love to see them knock the avengers off their high horse.
The Defenders.
I voted for Captian Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew – worlds greatest super-animals team!
I also second Kirby’s vote for The Defenders

Avengers. They have Spider-Woman, I can’t root against her.
As long as Wolverine ends up in only one book from here on in, or better yet dead, then I don’t really care.
I would have loved a third option that was something akin to “Really Don’t Care, Just Give Me More “Wolverine & The X-Men.”

I went with the Jusitce League.
I’m going with the Legion Of Superheroes.
