While there is a lot of talk about Harrison Ford joining the cast of Ender’s Game, it looks like Ben Kingsley will be the first adult to be cast in the movie.
The movie has already cast Asa Butterfield as Ender Wiggin, with Hailee Steinfeld rumored to have already been hired.
Set in a future where the Earth is under attack by an insect-like race and mankind has created a battle school to train fighting forces. In this environment enters Ender Wiggin (Butterfield), a kid who is tormented by bullies and an older brother but proves to be a master at a three-dimensional, zero-gravity laser tag-like game. That sets him on a path as a possible savior of the human race.
Kingsley is in talks to play a legendary war hero presumed to have been long dead, which means Ford might still be up for the Colonel Hyrum Graff role. The movie is written by Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), and being produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Currently, the movie is scheduled to be released in 2013.

My question regarding this movie is: who will play Bean? and will they film Ender’s Shadow at the same time as Ender’s game? (it would make a nice bonus feature on the dvd)
