Get ready for a new brand of web-slinging action in your first look at Scarlet Spider #1! From the red-hot creative team of Chris Yost & Ryan Stegman, Kaine – the all-new Scarlet Spider – finds himself on the run in Texas after saving New York City from becoming the world’s largest spider nest during Spider-Island. But when his escape is stopped by a super-powered crime syndicate, Kaine must put an end to their corruption the only way he knows how…violently.
“Scarlet Spider is a book that can deal with a character much like Peter Parker but at darker, more difficult place in his life,” said Stephen Wacker, Marvel Senior Editor. “The violent choices he’s made through years of struggle—the sins of youth, so to speak—have come at a brutal cost. He may hope that the things he’s done will be left to the dusty, yellowed pages of history, but someone ALWAYS remembers who you used to be.”

Architecturally …
Judging by the size of the man, those are 18″ tiles on that bathroom floor. There are 8 of them (12′) before you get to the tub. There are at least 6 of them (9′) before you get to the oversized shower. 12′ x 9′ is the size of the average living room.
What kind of place is this guy staying in?
To be more specific, they’re 18″ at a minimum and more likely 24″ (meaning the room would be even larger, 16′ x 12′, before you got to the tub and shower). The smaller estimate was to give the artist some level of benefit of the doubt on something that’s been bothering me in a lot of comics lately.
Oh god dont let this lead to another Clone Saga
(Iam not really worried just joking)
So basically; it’s “Wolverine Type Spider-Man”. Since you can’t make Peter into a completely “grey area” character; you drudge up Kaine. Am I ever glad I don’t buy your comics anymore, Marvel.
I was thinking more along the lines of Spider-Punisher, but there might be more truth to Moon-Spider.
We all forgot about Bat-Spider, the gritty dark avenging hero of the night. Be on the look out for Mantis boy soon. Quickly followed by Beetle girl and Sparky the firefly
Lone Spider?
Maybe he’ll kill the lame-o new Hobgoblin?
