Press Release
It’s been a big year for Archie, and the news won’t be slowing down.
As part of a tidal wave of announcements hitting at this year’s New York Comic Con, Archie Comics has drawn back the curtain to reveal a newly-revamped ARCHIECOMICS.COM. This isn’t a tweak – the site has been rebuilt from top-to-bottom to feature the latest in fan interactivity, blogs, social media, digital connectivity and a brand new Archie Comic Shop!
“This change was long overdue, and we’re very excited to show off our new website to our fans during one of the biggest pop culture events of the year,” said Archie Comics Co-CEO Jon Goldwater. “The Archie team has worked tirelessly with our friends at PC911 to put together a site that’s visually appealing but also very user-friendly. And this is only the beginning.”
The site arrives with increased functionality and will become the one-stop source for every fans Archie needs – from news to product, ARCHIECOMICS.COM will provide fans with information, deals, constant real-time updates and the best Archie can offer. With news on Kevin Keller’s wedding, ARCHIE MEETS KISS, the return of Red Circle and more providing for a busy Archie news cycle, the time was right to redesign and refocus the Archie homepage.
“We have so much news going on that our fans need a place to go to and learn everything that’s happening,” Goldwater continued. “And with a redesigned and more streamlined store, fans can get their favorite Archie books right from the source!”
Archie Comics is the leading mass market comic book publisher in the world and the home to a wide array of the most popular humor, action-adventure and superhero characters in entertainment, including Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica, Reggie, Kevin Keller, Josie and the Pussycats, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, the New Crusaders, Super Duck, Jinx and many more. Archie Comics have sold almost 2 billion comics worldwide and are published around the world in a number of languages. In addition to comics, Archie characters have been featured prominently in animation, television, film and music in various popular incarnations.
