Warning: Pregnant women, the elderly, and children under 10 should avoid prolonged exposure to the Robot Overlord. Robot Overlord may suddenly accelerate to dangerous speeds. The Robot Overlord contains a liquid core, which if exposed due to rupture, should not be touched, inhaled, or looked at. If Robot Overlord begins to smoke, get away immediately. Seek shelter and cover head. Do not taunt the Robot Overlord.
You know what’s scariest?
Seeing Norman Osborn in a suit.
Like somehow he’s back on the legal side of the law.
That’s scarier than any new costume could be.
It seems like Marvel and DC have near lost the art of just writing a good story. Now they’re resorting to gimmicks on top of gimmicks. It’s sad that I miss the days of “Infinite Crisis” and “Civil War”, where it was at least one universe shattering crisis at a time. White Black and Rainbow Lanterns, Batman dead and alive (for the second time, lest we forget “Obsidian Age”), all the while Superman’s hoofin’ it Hal and Ollie style, and Wonder Woman put on some pants. Luckily the Rainbow Hulks, Dark Avengers, Heroic Avengers, Fantastic Three, Powerless Herc, All-American Panther, and the evil Asgardian Hammer Team have stocked a Wolverine in every home in the Marvel U to protect against more Skrulls.
I swear to Hera, if Archie teams up with Invincible to fight the Maxx, I’m switching to those new-fangled graphic novel sized picture-less comics I’ve been hearing about. Apparently they’ve been around for years….
While I’m sick of all of the events going on at once as well I DO enjoy looking forward to see Normy being a total sociopath in a suit again . It’s a fun change from pure Goblin and he really has the chops for it. I just hope it’s not in any way sanctioned by the government here…
Let’s see… we’ve got the Avengers… the New Avengers… the Dark Avengers…. Are these just the regular Avengers with the lights turned off? Actually, I never really got into the Avengers because the solo comic books of the individual members were always better than the “team” book. Plus, though they had the name “Avengers” they never did any avenging for anything. Why do these comic book publishers always want to take good characters and concepts and dilute them over too many series and team books. Back in the 70s and 80s the X-men were the best things in comics, and as soon as Marvel realized this, we got five or six different X-books plus massive cross-overs and tie-in and then the New Mutants and X-Factor and X-Force ad nauseum, and the creative team that made the original so good was split up and their talents diluted by being spread across so many titles. Haven’t bought an X-book since. And how did Norman Osborn come back to life in the first place? He’s been dead since the 1970s and I always respected the fact that Marvel hadn’t brought him back. So much for that…
Norman came back during the Clone Saga where it was revealed he had a healing factor and he kiled Ben Reilly revealing that Peter was really truely the original
I liked the Dark Avengers title while it was out. I’m not super thrilled it’s going back to some form of status quo with him, but who knows the book could be rather entertaining.

My thoughts precisely.
