When FX being shooting its adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis/Michael Avon Oeming’s Powers series, Lucy Punch will be up front and center as Deena Pilgrim.
Filming is slated for mid-summer in Chicago. This marks a return to series television for the British-born Punch, whose first major U.S. role was on the CBS comedy The Class.

I was kind of hoping for maybe Katee Sackoff, but I am willing to give Ms. Punch a shot. She already has a Superhero name. I like it.
I’ve seen her in a lot of “Crazy Ex” and “Flighty Bimbo” type roles, so it’s nice to see her get a chance to play a more nuanced character.
