Diamond Select Toys has announced that the Thor “Stormbreaker” story, featuring Beta Ray Bill gets the Minimate treatment for a San Diego Comic Con exclusive.
This set commemorates the storyline in which alien Beta Ray Bill crossed paths with the God of Thunder, hefted the enchanted hammer Mjolnir and was granted the power of Thor himself.
You’ll be able to nab this collection at the Action Figure Xpress booth (#3345).

Zounds! Yes, very cool! Both Beta Ray Bill and Walt Simonsom are what made me collect Mighty Thor. Just too bad it s an SDCC-exclusive and that I can’t make it down to SDCC anyway. I already have a few contacts nice enough to get me not some non-exclucive items but I wouldn’t want them to endure the hassle of trying to get one of these. I sure hope this won’t be the only time we get Beta Ray Bill as a Mini-Mate and that perhaps a regular retail 2-pack version will be available.
