Po is back! Kung Fu Panda 2 arrived in theaters today, and all of the early reviews we’ve seen has this movie hitting all the right marks.
Po joins forces with a group of new kung-fu masters to take on an old enemy with a deadly new weapon.
Did you see it? What did you think? It’s time for you to TALK BACK!

Saw this last night and thought the animation looked fantastic. Specifically the design of the flashback/dream sequences had a beautiful style. The story does a great job of picking up after the last one and avoids forcing us through a retelling of the prior events. If you enjoyed the first one I would definitely recommend seeing this one as it is easily as good as if not better than the first.
I agree with the above comments. The flashback animation is brilliant and the new characters introduced fit perfectly into the world we became familiar with in the first film. Definitely recommended if you enjoyed the original.
I just watched last night. The story took a bit to get going, almost as if they couldn’t think of an interesting way to get to the bad guy. It was almost a new threat is upon us go fight it. Once the movie hit the 2nd act it was fantastic. If you enjoyed the first then check this out. Just fast forward the first 20 minutes or so.
Took the whole family to see it. We all loved it. Story was great. Everything was used to come full circle. And my favorite part was where Po puts the mantis in the cage but no one realizes it’s an acton figure till it’s to late. Sheer genius.
I took my 3 year old to see this movie on Monday since he loved the first one so much and we all enjoyed it. There was a lot to like about this movie, the comedic bits were really funny I thought, and not just in some kind of slapstick/hits-to-the-crotch kind of way either. The scene with the peacock and the wolf and talking about the year of the peacock was great, and when Po shows up on the rooftop and he’s yelling his big speech at the bad guys and then they flip to the bad guys viewpoint and you can’t really hear anything Po’s saying, the way the Peacock responds is great. Lots of things were cool in the fighting too. Things that they don’t really make a big deal about, but that Po has developed his own fighting style and unique moves and that he can and does call out people from the Furious 5 and a move and they’ll go into it right away. The made almost no big deal about it, but he beats on a wolf and throws him in the air and yells, “Viper, Puppet of Death” or something like that and she quickly wraps around the wolfs upper torso around the arms and shoulders and starts making him swing his sword at his own compatriots. There were some flat moments, and some slow bits, which I didn’t mind but I could see my 3 year old’s attention wandering for a minute, especially at the beginning, he was asking wher Kung-Fu Panda was. Anyway, overall, I think it was a really good movie that I’ll be buying for the little ones when it comes out. I’d give it probably 3 1/2 – 4 stars out of 5.
