Floating World’s exuberant comics-art magazine DIAMOND drops this week, I did the cover design for this, the 6th issue. It looks like a great line up.
The image was made for the upcoming THEE HYPNOTICS music documentary, coming later this year. My mate Phil from Thee Hypnotics tells this story about a Spanish stripper in Madrid who did an act with a boa constrictor…I was watching Masks Of Fu Manchu at the time I drew this (released 1932, with Boris Karloff and Myrna Loy) (if you see it, see the uncensored version), and researching Native American portraits for another project…all these things blended and out came this…
