Following the “death” of the Human Torch, Marvel has announced Ultimate Spider-Man #160 will get the polybag treatment.
The record-setting creative team of Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley pull out all the stops for Death of Spider-Man and with covers so shocking we had no choice but to conceal them.
Would that shocking cover be a picture of Marvel execs rolling in piles of money?
In any case, the line forms to the right for those wanting to get their copy that arrives June 22, 2011.

In this day of digital media does anyone really think a polybag will keep a secret? It’s so hacky, and is only missing the foil card insert. For a universe that is all but dead, the Ultimate line had only one saving grace in the characterization by Bendis, but the stories of Ultimate Spider-Man never really interested me. They could have been bold and new, and the stories never delivered for me. This is one funeral that I will be sitting out.
This story will change Marvel forever aswell as attracting new fans it will also put many fans off reading this comic book in future . I have known this story was coming for a long time but still when I read it I felt a sinking feeling . Peter will always be remembered in ultimate comics for doing what he couldn’t do for uncle Ben saving aunt mays life . Rumour has it a new Spider-Man will soon be on the prowl. Will he live up to Peter who knows , until we find out we’ll be watching and waiting . Today was a great loss but there is always hope for tomorrow.
