    FAN FILM: Riverdale: The Movie

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherFebruary 28, 20119 Comments1 Min Read

Ever wonder what would happen if someone took the Archie Comics universe and made it into an R-rated teenage flick?

Riverdale is a fan-trailer responding to the common trend of ‘gritty’ remakes of popular franchises. An article about the production of Riverdale will be available on fanfilmsblog.com shortly. If there are still any doubts as to the legitimacy of this trailer, be assured that this is a not-for-profit project produced purely for fun.

Wow. That’s a lot of drama for something so dark.

They should do a similar take on Peanuts.

I liked it but, I wish they could have chosen a more original piece of music.

    3. Ced on February 28, 2011 12:59 pm

Can they make it darker? *rolling eyes*

I know, right? I was disappointed that Veronica didn’t kill her kitten just to show Daddy how much he hurts her.

Uh, I think you guys missed the point. It’s satirizing exactly what you guys are criticizing about it. Hence the cliche music and grimderp.

No, I get it. I wasn’t annoyed. I was being sarcastic.

That’s why I suggested they do Peanuts next: Taking the lightest of comics and making it the darkest of subject matter.

WHoa. They even managed to slip in the cristian bale batman voice near the end there too.

Know it’s fan fiction, but Hollowood (Hollywood), has a dubious track record on comic books to movie franchises. I don’t even have to point that far back either with the Green Hornet for starters…..

I almost turned away before the last quick scene flashed. Betty and Veronica making out. Yum.
