Fans of Conan O’Brien know he has a thing for superheroes, going so far as getting a superhero version of himself sketched up a while ago. The Flaming C is back, and he’s made a surprise appearance on the Cartoon Network’s Young Justice series.

I was laughing my metaphorical ass off. (I hope it’s ok to post that)
Out of curiosity, I quickly acquired the pilot episodes and was surprised that the short clip of The Flaming C is actually a mashup of scene. It’s obvious that he replaces Superman in the first shot, but there are parts taken from Batman and Aquaman as well.
Funny bit. The WB Animation clearly knows when not to pull their punches.
Marketing gold!
I wonder whether they planned this from the beginning.
It was no surprise to me that Conan didn’t recognise Zatara, though.
I had a good laugh at this, so glad. Just so glad.
Bruce Timm and Conan O’Brien together. GOLD, JERRY! GOLD!!
It’s so funny that this came out yesterday because on Monday I finally ran a Youtube search and watched the first 2 episodes of Young Justice. I think that’s brilliant marketing for both Conan and Young Justice. Only thing was that I was hoping for a bit of comedy in it other than his appearance. Chalked full of awesome though.
