Marvel announced a while ago that some of its titles would be getting a price change from $3.99 to $2.99, and the company finally let us in on what titles would see the change. Looks like Marvel is starting off with limited series first.
The first round of mini-series that will get the $2.99 treatment:
- CAPTAIN AMERICA: HAIL HYDRA
- WOLVERINE AND JUBILEE
- ARCADE: DEATH GAME
- HAWKEYE: BLIND SPOT
- 5 RONIN
“Based on the feedback we’ve received from both retailers and fans, there’s a definite desire for limited series like Captain America: Hail Hydra or Hawkeye: Blind Spot to be priced at $2.99 per issue,” explains Senior Vice President of Sales, David Gabriel. “We’re extremely impressed with the stories our writers and artists want to tell, and we’re committed to providing these book for a great price.”
That’s all well and good, but a quick look at the February 2011 solicitations still shows a large number of titles at the $3.99 price point.

This is great news. I was on the fence about most of these limiteds until now.
