Good News Everyone! New Season of Futurama is almost upon us

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherJune 14, 20107 Comments1 Min Read

Can. Not. Wait.  Futurama is by far the best animated series that Matt Groening ever produced.  It’s too bad Fox got all in a huff, when he wouldn’t sign over all rights to the series, casting the show into the ether to be lost, picked up, lost again, and now to return.

We’ve got the first 90-seconds of the new season for you to check out.

OMG! It’s so the same! I’m excited. Rarely do shows like this come back unchanged, and just as good, but this looks like it will follow the family guy trend and pick up right where it left off.

I’m too excited to type anything that’s even remotely constructive…

Yes, yes, yes and YES. Great teaser, great way to show that this show will still be doing what it does best – subverting our expectations and every trope known to mankind, and poking fun at itself in the process.

I am interested if they will somehow contrive it so Fry and Leela aren’t together, or if they’ll keep it that way and move the show in a new direction.

Look, we all love Futurama, but to say this is better than The Simpsons is foolish. People just love to say they love something that everyone else didn’t watch, that’s all it is. I’ve watched every episode of Futurama AND The Simpsons, I love them both, but The Simpsons, even with it’s up and downs, is by FAR the superior show.

        ???
Nobody said anything about the Simpsons…

Did you not read the article up above?

“Futurama is by far the best animated series that Matt Groening ever produced.”

I understand that everyone is entitled to an opinion, I just happen to disagree with it that’s all.
