Casting announcements are flying out of H’wood left and right as production continues to crank up for Captain America: The First Avenger. The latest news has Neal McDonough and Stanly Tucci in the roles of Dum Dum Dugan, and Dr. Abraham Erskine respectively.
Also of interest are McDonough comments about the military unit, The Howling Commando, and the role they play in the film. According to McDonough, the team may undergo a name change before shooting begins. Dr. Erskine was a German scientist behind Project Rebirth, the secret experiment that created the Super Soldier known as Captain America.
Joe Johnston is directing the film staring Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Hugo Weaving, and Haley Atwell.

McDonough is a great choice for Dugan.
Agreed. I liked his character in the Syfy mini-series “Tin Man”.
Yup, he’s going to be a tough-as-nails Dugan. Loved him in Band of Brothers.
