Press Release
Disney Producer Christian Beranek is hitting the road this year to conduct Creator Boot Camps to help prepare aspiring comic book, film and tv professionals in how to get their stories made. The courses will be held at comic book shops across the country. In addition, Beranek will be also participating in a special session at a TBD time and location during San Diego Comic Con.
Beranek is a successful comic book writer, film/tv producer and actor who is currently working on several projects for Disney and co-starring in a feature film for Lakeshore. His graphic novel Dracula vs. King Arthur is beloved worldwide.
“I reached the 10 year mark in my career and have seen the industry go through a lot of changes,” says Beranek. “Having been on the front line in several different roles I feel like my experiences can benefit those trying to break into a very competitive field. The course will also help those who may already be working in these mediums but want to become more efficient and successful in their approach. These days you need all the knowledge and ammunition you can get.”
Beranek’s Creator Boot Camps will be intensive 2 1/2 hour sessions that will cover such topics as “What editors look for”, “Selling your property for film/tv”, “Time management” and “What it takes to succeed in the digital age.” The first session will be held at Heroplex Comics in North Richland Hills, Texas this Wednesday June 10th at 6pm. The next session will be at Meltdown Comics in Hollywood, CA this Saturday June 12th at 12 noon.
