Who doesn’t love some Buffy Summers action? Sideshow Collectibles has a brand new Buffy statue coming down the pipe in third quarter of 2010, and it looks pretty amazing.
Celebrating Joss Whedon’s long-running television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the Throne of the Slayer – Buffy Summers Maquette. This detailed sculpture presents an elaborately seated chosen one, awaiting her next battle with the weight of her duty as the Slayer heavy on her shoulders. Each piece is individually painted and finished to exacting standards, each with its own unique quality and detail that is the trademark of a handcrafted Sideshow Collectibles product. The Throne of the Slayer – Buffy Summers Maquette is an outstanding addition to any collection, a must-have for all Whedon fans.
It’s a really large piece, standing 17.5″ high x 11.5″ W x 10.5″ D, so you’re going to need some space for this one. You’re also going to need that money you loaned to your friends, because this statue will set you back $250.

I don’t really recognize SMG so much in the facial features. But the overall quality and design is great.
I would have thought if you were forking out $250 for a statue of Sarah Michelle Gellar you’d expect it to look like her at least. Nice work though, otherwise.
It’s odd that the statue is so great in every other way except that the face isn’t quite right. It resembles her just a bit on the 11th image, where she is looking down. But…hrmmm.
Um, Well,,, This really ISN’T a statue of Sarah M. G. Prinze, it’s a statue of Buffy Sommers. Sarah was a lucky girl to be able to play that part, but so was Kisty Swanson, and the statue doesnt look much like her. In fact the Kuzuis are gearing up to remake the film, and I imagine there will be yet another girl as Buffy.
For years I thought of Basil Rathbone as the quintessential Sherlock Holmes, and then Jeremy Brett came long and knocked it out of the park. Then Roberty Downey put a whole new spin on it, and I like it.
This is a nice sculpt, and very sexy. I dunno if its $250 sexy, but I like it.
