Nikki Finke has a lot of good inside information, and her latest bit of tinsel town tid-bits has Sony pushing back the start date for Spider-Man 4 to some date in the future, making it very unlikely that the franchise will meet the May 11, 2011 release date. Finke goes on to speculate that Spider-Man 4 may be being retooled not only for story, but to be turned into a 3D feature. She’s probably on the right track here as ESPN and Discovery networks are announcing 3D television networks for 2010, making 3D a hot item not only for the big screen, but future sales on the small screen.

Well, it worked for Avatar. :)
It might look like I’m easy, but 3D in Spidey 4 might actually get me into the theater if done right. Heck 3D might be the boon the theaters were waiting for.
