Thanks for the preview. I was almost tempted by this one (a first for me for the motion comics), but thanks to your preview I now know that it’s not for me. I enjoyed the original run of astonishing (and not just because I’m a Joss Whedon fan), but the choppy motion and poor integration of the moving elements into the static backgrounds is, in a word, disturbing. The manner in which the faces are contorted to provide dialog makes them look frightening at best and deranged most of the time.
I’ll just go back to my box, pull out the trade, and leave the creepy for other people.
