If you were wondering what Ernie Hudson has been doing since HBO’s OZ ended, the answer seemed pretty boring until the announcement that the actor is joining NBC’s Heroes this season. The storyline is being kept under wraps, but we have learned that Hudson will play Captain Lubbock, a Baltimore detective.
The upcoming fourth season of “Heroes” introduces a major new mythology about a traveling carnival of people with special powers run by a charismatic but evil Earth-moving ringleader (Robert Knepper).
And let’s not forget the potential girl loves girl storyline with that Hayden girl.

Color me interested. Between this and the announcement that Ray Park is also joining the cast gives me a glimmer of hope that Heroes might make it through another season.
Good news with Hudson, yes.
And I have never forgotten about the potential girl loves girl storyline with that Hayden girl. … Not for one second.
Well, it’s cool to know Ernie Hudson’s still out there. But I feel bad he’s on a show that reminds me why I stopped reading comics for several years in the mid-to-late nineties. He should be on something good, like “Chuck”.
Mela, you didn’t clarify what it is about Heroes and comics that prompted your reading hiatus. I’m curious.
