… and apparently Mark Waid and Brian Michael Bendis are teaming up to write issue #601 of Amazing Spider-Man or somethin’…

    Check out the cover!

In all seriousness, the teaming of Waid and Bendis is an interesting one, and although I rarely read Amazing Spider-Man (all that convoluted continuity) I’m heading on down to comic book town when this issue hits on August 9, 2009.
What’s even more impressive is the price for this issue to an amazingly low price of $2.99.

“Marvel’s thanking all our supportive Amazing Spider-Man fans with this bonus content,” said David Gabriel, Marvel Senior Vice President of Sales & Circulation. “We’ve got a full size regular story plus this new story by Brian and Joe in Amazing Spider-Man #601 without charging a penny more. It’s what Spider-Man would do!”

Marvel also let is slip that Joe Quesada is aiding Mario Alberti in the art duties for the issue.

      Nice cover

But I didn’t think there was a Daily Bugle anymore. DB anyone?

You can always count on J Scott Campbell to supply a drawing of a very pretty lady. ;D

      @ Gaumer

It might be a “flashback” to show what happened between Peter and MJ…?

Wow. Maybe the hottest MJ I’ve ever seen. It’s nice to see when people draw her as a real redhead, with freckles and all, and not just Gwen Stacy with red hair.

Still not buying this. I don’t care how reasonable Waid makes it seem.

It’s interesting to see the progression of Campbell’s art style from his early Homage days. It’s really evolved.
