I’m really bummed that Mike Wieringo is gone. My love for his style took off during his Flash run, and I continued to follow what he was doing after that. Today’s Art Appreciation Moment of the Day features Mike’s work and his take on the Legion of Super Heroes.

My favorite artist EVER. I discovered so many awesome books thanks to his visuals, truly an innovator in every aspect of the word. Thanks for showing him recognition!
This simultaneously makes me incredibly sad and makes me smile. Mike was gone entirely too soon, but it’s nice to see him do something with my favorite series. His art was what brought me into comics in the first place.
It’s like visiting and old dear friend. I miss ya, Mike.
Wouldn’t it have been great to see his work on the regular Legion title (if it ever comes back that is). No matter which version of the Legion, he would have made it look FANTASTIC.
His work was always a big inspiration for me. Always refreshing to see his sketches again.
