It’s turning into a Legion of Super-Heroes Art Appreciation week. We kicked things off the other day with Dante’s look at Chameleon Boy, and we continue today with Adriana Ferguson’s look at two more members in the teen-age space drama. Adriana is the co-host of the Super Future Friends Podcast, and has been on our own Major Spoilers Podcast a time or two.
some more legion redesigns. princess projectra and sensor girl this time. since projectra is a princess i went with a sort of jester theme for sensor girl.
you can learn alllllllll about them over here: Hero Histories
sketches with pencil, painted with opencanvas, finished with photoshop.

Like the pictures. Will the duo be on the podcast again?
As soon as everything aligns.
Which probably means sometime after the final chapter of Legion of Three Worlds…whenever that ships.
Those are AWESOME, especially Projectra.
Ah, Sensor, always my fave Legionairre. Wish she was still around in the current legion incarnation.
Thank you very much, Stephen. Again love the designs.
Those are some really sick designs. I love how smooth and clean they are giving them a graphic design sensibility while not going overboard. Really refined.
There’s a current Legion incarnation?
thanks, stephen!!! and thanks for the kind words, guys <3
i’m sure jeckie will turn up in some form or another in the coming years! legionnaires are hard to kill. well, easy to kill, but also easy to bring back!
now since i linked to MS and you linked to me, we will now create a moebius strip inside the internet.
But these are the same character, right?
Yes
But these are the same character, right?
The Pre-Crisis Projectra became Sensor Girl, yep. The Rebooted Sensor Girl was a giant snake, and the third incarnation of Princess Projectra was a giant bitch who (theoretically) was on the road to either redemption or death, depending on which solicitations you believe.
Either way, Adriana’s designs are awesome.
You know, I never liked Sensor’s costume, so I like this re-design…from the shoulders down. The mask and neck-ruffle make her look like a Tim Burton version of a Pantomime (think Pierrot meets Jack Skellington.)
