I finally saw the trailer for the upcoming Surrogates movie leading into Terminator: Salvation. It looks pretty interesting, and I’m going to have to track down the graphic novel to see what it is all about.

Surrogates is quite a neat story, I can recommend it.
The artwork of the movie though is radically different from the original. The graphic novel has a very reduced and bleak style, while this looks like Minority Report or Fifth Element. But I’m not against this art update, they would have to do something to make it more palatable for the average movie-goer.
I shall have to make an effort to see this. I like the look of it. What I especially like is that it seems to have presumably long segments, I like a movie where you think it’s ending but it goes on and on. From the trailer I see 3 sections 1. While he’s a surrogate, 2. He’s real and everyone else isn’t, and then 3. all the surrogates collapse. My favourite is that his surrogate loses his arm and he gets hit by a car but of course isn’t hurt.
