Dynamite’s Complete Dracula Arrives in April

Dynamite EntertainmentBy Dynamite EntertainmentJanuary 28, 20093 Mins Read

“As the Count leaned over me and his hands touched me… a horrible feeling of nausea came over me, which, do what I would, I could not conceal.” — Bram Stoker’s Dracula

Based upon the original novel by Bram Stoker, writers Leah Moore and John Reppion have crafted a dense, atmospheric, and faithful adaptation of the most powerful and heralded horror novel of all time!

CompDrac01covers.JPGWhile its legions of readers – generation after generation – think they are familiar with the story of Count Dracula and his terror-filled reign across England, what they may not know is that the original publication altered the very beginning and end of Stoker’s novel, Now, these missing elements have been worked into this DYNAMITE adaptation for The Complete Dracula!

“John and Leah are perfect for something of this scope,” explained DYNAMITE President Nick Barrucci. “Their faithful attention to detail, scripting prowess and meticulous research have created something unparalleled in the world of graphic novels. This is one of our most ambitious projects of the year, and the beginning of a new series of literary adaptations with more surprises to come!  After 112 years, fans deserve to read the whole story!”

Joining the writers is painter Colton Worley, new to the world of comics, being introduced by Dynamite!  A talented painter who perfectly complements the moody script with his dark and atmospheric vision of Dracula and the world around him.

The “dynamite” talent is topped off by the dramatic cover work of multiple Eisner Award-Winning artist John Cassaday, who serves as cover artist for the 5 issue series – each issue featuring 32 fully painted pages of story and art, plus bonus material for a total page count per issue of 40 dynamite pages.
