Garth Ennis’ The Boys series, once at DC, but now residing at Dynamite Entertainment, is heading to the big screen in an adaptation by scribes Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay.
Columbia Pictures’ Original Films will produce the adaptation that follows the boys, who are tasked with keeping superheroes in line.
With all the press The Boys has received, the only way to make this a successful adaptation, to satisfy and anger crowds everywhere, is to approach this project with a hard R or NC-17 rating in mind. I wonder if they will try and get Simon Pegg to star in the film?

Man I hope they don’t ruin this one. Urge to play casting director…rising…
Lets do this thang
Billy Butcher: Craig Fairbass or Gerard Butler (If they have the budget)
Wee Hughie: DUH
The Frenchman: Vincent Cassel
Come on people any ideas regarding “The Female”, “Homelander”, Mothers Milk or “Starligth”?
Sigh…fine. Been thinking about this anyway…
Good choices, Life, was thinking Cassel too. I was also thinking Daniel Craig for Butcher, or slap a wig on Jason Statham. Mother’s Milk: Ving Rhames (obvious really, since he was one of the ‘model faces’ along with Pegg.) The Female can be a total unknown, or Maggie Q wouldn’t be bad. Ellen Barkin as Rayner. Kristen Bell as Starlight.
Homelander is tough, a blond all-American “Superman” who has to be able to act both heroic (for the cameras) and menacing (to everyone else.) Matt Damon is probably too big a star for the role, but it’d be fun to see him try it.
And of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger as Love Sausage.
Daniel Craig is a GREAT choice..but Statham..nah..doesnt fit.
Ving Rhames: Why didnt i think of that!
Maggie Q: A tad to old and hot (Ironic really)
Kristen Bell: Now theres something i wouldnt have thought of, good idea though.
Ellen Barkin: Dont know her, looks the part though.
OH and Arney Lovesausage would be freakin hillarious XD
And now for the main attraction….The Homelander is …

Yea sorta obvious..never gonna happen though.
Eckhart would be great, but no way he goes near this kind of movie now. Maybe 2 years ago.
