So Danny Ketch (the first Ghost Rider) is back and giving Johnny Blaze all kinds of trouble. Did I spoil that one for you? Sorry, but Ghost Rider #23 did hit the news stands last week, and we did talk about it in the Major Spoilers Podcast, so unless you are one of those that only get your comics once a month, you are probably privy to the info already.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Danny Ketch, Marvel comics is making the Ghost Rider Saga available for Digital Comics Unlimited subscribers.

Johnny Blaze is the Ghost Rider—so just why is his former ally and former Ghost Rider Danny Ketch on a quest to destroy him? GHOST RIDER #23 saw the return of Danny Ketch, the second man to bear the mantle of the Ghost Rider, and his startling return to the Marvel Universe has everyone wondering just what his true intentions are.

Subscribers to Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited can access the Ghost Rider Saga at the MDCU site.

Danny was the second Ghost Rider, not the first.

      Just so ya know.

Doesn’t it go Johnny then Daniel then Johnny again?

With the Western hero, wasm’t Danny third to be called Ghost Rider? His ancestor having a flaming chain even argues that there was more a connection between the Original Ghost Rider than we’ve all been led to believe…

Well he is clearly the minion of the demon who left the mark on his hand , I cant remember the name right now and I’m too far from the comic. But he looks pale too maybe he is a possessed skrull !

I was big into the 90’s Ghost Rider and always preferred Ketch to Blaze. I had a ton of the Blaze issues mind you. And just never dug him as much as Danny. Of course Dan’s GH was really hurt by extreme over-saturation guest spotting. He was always mistreated in those other books he visited. Like “HULK SMASH!” he was always made out to be “GHOST RIDER VENGENCE!”. Also I loved his run ins with Venom.

I have to say, this is great! The introduction of Danny into the new volume, in my opinion, will inevitably lead to… wait for it…

      THE RETURN OF ZARATHOS!!!

And if big Z returns, what does that mean, if anything, for Lilith and the lilin that was created from her union with Zarathos?

I’m geekin’ out over this series!

Incedently, does anyone know what Howard Mackie is up to now?
