You’ve probably already seen these, but I’m posting if for you anyway. Michael Bay has posted high resolution images of some of your favorite Transformers over at his blog site in an attempt to get you to forget about the Spider-Man movie and get fired up about this big budget production with robots. Robots!
I still don’t like Megatron, but Optimus Prime is looking pretty sharp, and unlike Spider-Man 3 (which I still haven’t seen), I’ll be there on opening day to see if Bay succeeds or fails with this pic.
Take the jump for the large Megatron image and the link to Bay’s site with all the rest of the ginormous images.

Now, while I don’t necessarily undersand the concept of a Movie designed to sell toys encompassing real-life, adult feels such as the Army threatening to kill a landing, unidentified Chopper or wholesale mass destruction – I have to say, I love both the clips of the transforming (click ratlle buzz snap click snap rattle buzz boink!) and the EXCELLENT modern redesign for Bumblebee.
Have to say I’m a bit disappointed in O.Prime though. Thing is, they’re working with the ‘Tardis-Illusion’ principle, as demonstrated in Season 1’s “Boom Town”, in that they believe that their object will just go unnoticed by the majority of people; unfortunately, tough not many people wll pay much attention to a blue phone box hidden away in an alley, they are going to go bug-eyed at a huge bright red & blue truck made of alien metal. Kind of defeats the purpose of transforming into a vehicle, eh?
