Zenescope Entertainment has announced it will return to Wonderland in May with a 99-cent issue. Grimm Fairy Tales presents: Return to Wonderland will have five pages of original conent, sketches and other material. Artist Al Rio will do the cover (see below), while Raven Gregory will be penning the issue.
“I always loved the dark nature of fairy tales,” says Gregory. “That sense of a moral lesson wrapped up in a horror movie — just waiting for the big bad wolf to jump out at you from around the next corner. With Return to Wonderland we wanted to rip off the pretty bow and cute wrapping paper and reveal the real meat of the beast — but we still wanted to pay homage and follow up on the events of the original.”
The #0 issue will be available in May, with issue #1 set for release in July.
