A plot-device is all that’s needed. Iron Man does not lack for those.

i think its safe to say that when the time comes iron man will open a case with a suit he hoped he would never have to were becasue its made to fight magneto and mutants, i no stark has made alot of mistakes in the past but not even he would were a metal suit and go after magneto
Yup, his trade marked “rubber maid” suit of armor (as seen in Magneto: no hero #1). Thou unless they fight somewhere where no metal exists I still think the master of magnetism wins, like he said to the plastic setinels in the remains of a ship after they tell him his powers are useless against them “This entire SHIP is my weapon!”

Iron Man’s armor hasn’t actually been iron since the mid 60s, I believe.
That said, I still won’t be reading this.
Short fight. Stark launches from the Stark Tower to search for Magneto. Magneto, watching thru a telescope from a mile or two away, uses his awesome magnetic powers to rip the armor off Stark’s body. Stark falls to his death. Magneto yawns, order another espresso.
