According to Top Cow PR Guru Filip Sablik, the company’s Pilot Season brought in 4 million votes from the five issues released. You may remember that each issue featured an established Top Cow character that could go on to be in their own series. “A promotion like this is always a bit risky because you don’t know what kind of results you’re going to get. But the fans really impressed us with their enthusiasm with Pilot Season,” said Top Cow Publisher, Filip Sablik. “Over 4 million votes is almost unbelievable and we’re even more proud to say that all those…

If Playboy has their way I’m sure it would happen. But is it such a big deal? I mean take a look at an Hughes, Grant, Horn, or other cheesecake artist and tell me those costumes aren’t painted on.  Pink Raygun seems to have a problem with it, though… So, Wonder Woman finally gets a female writer after sixty years in existence (and manages to get some favorable real-world press as well) and Playboy follows up on that meme by painting a naked chick who couldn’t survive more than a week on The Celebrity Apprentice. Wonder how Gail Simone feels…

A lot of good work came from Sejic during his Witchblade: First Born run, and Top Cow Productions has announced Stjepan will now be the regular artist for the ongoing Witchblade series beginning with issue #116. “Historic run, on the rise artist, longest running, and consistent,” said Sejic in a prepared statement, “In my personal dictionary these descriptions all fall under ‘hype’. The offer came about two weeks later and I just could not turn down working on not only one of the DC icons but a pop culture icon as well. Now I can actually have a conversation with someone outside of comics and they will actually have heard of the character I’m drawing. Can’t wait to see how Simone’s writing and Lopresti’s art mesh. via Newsarama

Remember that huge teaser DC sent out a while back talking about legends living forever? Look at the very bottom of the story as posted, and you’ll notice I mentioned the only Justice League member not present was the Martian Manhunter. Well several months of speculation and the rumors have moved from Batman (the only character pictured who hasn’t died) back to J’onn J’onzz. Why not Batman? Word is Warner Bros., the parent company of DC, stepped in and politely told DC not to screw with the film franchise, leaving poor ol’ J’onn as the sacrificial lamb. Even though J’onzz…
