Minecraft and LEGO were destined to partner together from the initial idea of Minecraft; it’s just too good of a combination. Minecraft LEGO sets have already been released but the tiny brick company has announced two new sets that will appear at San Diego Comic Con this week.
The two new sets will be of a Minecraft Village and The Nether. The Village set will have blocks for creating houses, and included will be Pig, Villager, and Zombie “Micromob” figurines. With a Netherrack, gravel and lava blocks, two Ghasts and a Zombie Pigman, builders will be able to recreate The Nether.
Given our similarities, Minecraft and LEGO building have always been a great match. After the excitement over the first set, we were delighted to extend the line and continue our partnership with The LEGO Group- Lydia Winters.
While the sets will be able to be seen at the LEGO Booth (#2329) the sets will not be able to be purchased until September 1. Upon release both sets will retail for $34.99.
