    SDCC’13: DC Digital Panel

    Another DC panel has come and gone at San Diego Comic Con. Thankfully, Major Spoilers is here to fill you in on what was announced and shown at the DC Digital Panel!

    Creators on the DC Digital Panel included:  Derek Fridolfs (Batman: Arkham Unhinged, Li’l Gotham), Christos N. Gage (Justice League Beyond), Kyle Higgins (Batman Beyond), Bryan Q. Miller (Smallville Season 11),Dustin Nguyen (Li’l Gotham), Tom Taylor (Injustice: Gods Among Us), and more!

    The first item of business was the reveal of the next cover being used for the print edition of Adventures of Superman.

    Next up was the showing of the cover for the first print edition of the collected Batman ’66 which just arrived on shelves yesterday.

    A single page of art was shown from the Legends of the Dark Knight series.

    Another cover was revealed, this time for Smallville Special #3 which will be available in print on October 30.

    From that point on is when the special announcements began to be made. Kicking it off was the reveal of a new villain within the pages of Batman Beyond, Rewire! Readers will be able to see the new character in action on October 16.

    A new series in the DC Digital line was then announced. Are you ready for a Scooby-Doo/Batman and Robin team-up?  Hopefully you are because Scooby-Doo meets Batman and Robin #1 will be released this Fall.

    Have you been enjoying Teen Titans Go! and Beware the Batman on the Cartoon Network? Would you like some more? Well DC is as they will be releasing digital comic adaptations of both shows this Fall!

    And, finally just one more new series to announce: The Vampire Diaries!

    If you are a fan of the digital first initiative that DC has been pushing there was a lot shown and announced for you to be excited about!
