If you follow the @MajorSpoilers Twitter feed, you may have noticed a few weeks ago that the family unit has been having a blast playing the Wrath of Ashardalon board game, and there may even be a recording of a game session somewhere… Interestingly, we may be getting a new board game in March.

Press Release WizKids Games, a subsidiary of NECA, announced today plans to release an all-new fantasy miniatures product based upon the popular and long-lived world of MAGE KNIGHT. The first game to utilize the extremely versatile and innovative Combat Dial System game platform, MAGE KNIGHT boasts over a dozen releases, including an award-winning board game based on the property.

Wizkids has announced the final con-exclusive figure for Heroclix this summer, and it’s Superman and Superman. For a closer look, you’ll need to take the jump.

For those of you who want your own Megan Fox to play with all day and all night, WizKids/NECA have you covered as Jonah Hex HeroClix come to the gaming table. The movie themed Battle Pack contains three brand new, figures: Jonah Hex, Lilah, and Turnbull!  The 3 fig Battle Pack is 100% HeroClix compatible and will be available mid-August.  Check your local game or comic store this fall. Man, now I wish I hadn’t given away all those HeroClix.  Suddenly I think they’ll be that much more valuable, especially if Topps decides HeroClix aren’t viable in the long run. WizKids has announced it has sold out its entire Crisis inventory in the U.S. and Canada. Fan of Crisis on Infinite Earths, Identity Crisis, Infinite Crisis, or Final Crisis?  Want to play out battles with DC characters from many Earths? WizKids has announced the new DC HeroClix: Crisis line that will feature Superman, Batman, The Flash,, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and the Anti-Monitor. WizKids, Inc. has announced the release of DC HeroClix: Justice League that features 60 individual characters. The booster packs now include five figures, character cards that add more powers and abilities, keywords that link heroes to their allies, background info on each character, feat cards, bystander tokens or battlefield condition cards. The first ever HeroClix World Championship was crowned at Gen Con Indianapolis 2007 as part of the fifth anniversary of HeroClix.  There were 32 players that included five international champions at the event. Sadly, US champ Scott Crampton didn’t win, instead Italian Antonio Santangelo took home the trophy – a replica of Thor’s Hammer from Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles. via WizKids

WizKids announced the conclusion of its Coming of Galactus HeroClix event that celebrated the fifth anniversary of HeroClix. The winner of the event received the 2007 Galactus colossal figure. 900 retailers participated in the world wide event, and from the information WizKids provided it seems it was a good money making event for the stores involved.
