Diamond Comic Distributors have announced that seven of the limited comic and toy exclusives being released at the San Diego Comic-Con have sold out to the retailers on the show floor. “SDCC exhibiting retailers were quick to purchase these one-of-a-kind collectibles, and now we’re sold out,” said Dan Manser, Diamond’s Director of Marketing. “If customers and fans really want these items they’re going to have to race to one of the selected retailers on the show floor to purchase them.”

The G.I. Joe movie is just around the corner, and in anticipation of the movie being a property success, Paramount has nabbed the rights to the Max Steel toy line to turn it into a movie as well. The toy property revolves around a 19-year-old extreme sports junkie recruited by a secret agency after an accident infects his body with nanobots, making him superhuman. I’m pretty sure we’ve run the images from Mattel’s DC Universe Collection wave 9 before, but we’re running them again, simply because I find the Chemo collect and connect figure so fascinating.  I’ve had a devil of a time with the entire collect and connect series, as I don’t think I’ve been able to complete a single figure – THANKS TARGET! I’m going to have to go eBay diving over the next couple of weeks to find all the back issue figures and parts, because I have completionism OCD, and also because these are pretty awesome figures.
