I have several of the Ame-Comi line of figures, but none of them come close to all the skin that the Wonder Girl Ame-Comi statue features. I’ll let you take the jump for the full on Wonder Girl action, plus a look at Wonder Woman, that shows even more skin.

Augmented Reality that lets you see things as they were, might be, or with interactive figures floating in front of your eyes.  Mattel is getting into the AR realm by introducing a new line of action figures based on the upcoming Avatar movie from 20th Century Fox.

Diamond Comic Distributors have announced that seven of the limited comic and toy exclusives being released at the San Diego Comic-Con have sold out to the retailers on the show floor. “SDCC exhibiting retailers were quick to purchase these one-of-a-kind collectibles, and now we’re sold out,” said Dan Manser, Diamond’s Director of Marketing. “If customers and fans really want these items they’re going to have to race to one of the selected retailers on the show floor to purchase them.”

The G.I. Joe movie is just around the corner, and in anticipation of the movie being a property success, Paramount has nabbed the rights to the Max Steel toy line to turn it into a movie as well. The toy property revolves around a 19-year-old extreme sports junkie recruited by a secret agency after an accident infects his body with nanobots, making him superhuman. Apparently DC is sending retailers a bunch of Blackest Night rings to give away this week when the first issue of Blackest Night hits the stands.  These look super sweet, but you’re going to have to contact your LCS to see if they will have any, as this was an incentive promotion, and from what I’ve gathered from other source, it was also not free for retailers. via Bleeding Cool

For those who can’t get enough Tim Burton, Dark Horse Deluxe has announced new products based around his book  The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other Stories. Springing from Burton’s sketchpads and notebooks, these charming little characters have taken on a life of their own. They are his strange little children, and although some have described them as twisted or odd, as Burton himself has observed: “One person’s craziness is another person’s reality.”

Mattel has unveiled the packaging for the San Diego Comic-Con Wonder Twin set, and it’s really cool.  Light up action, voices, and the works.

I’m pretty sure we’ve run the images from Mattel’s DC Universe Collection wave 9 before, but we’re running them again, simply because I find the Chemo collect and connect figure so fascinating.  I’ve had a devil of a time with the entire collect and connect series, as I don’t think I’ve been able to complete a single figure – THANKS TARGET! I’m going to have to go eBay diving over the next couple of weeks to find all the back issue figures and parts, because I have completionism OCD, and also because these are pretty awesome figures. Mattel has two panels at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, and are offering up a bunch of exclusives to boot.  If you can’t go to the sold out show to pick up these exclusives, rest assured you can find them on eBay for a very jacked up price after the show.

Hardcore fans of Mike Allred’s Madman Atomic Comics title character will probably be fighting like cats and dogs over this limited edition, 100 piece, 12-inch figure from French toy designer Thierry Raynaud.
