Variety this morning confirms the Lois and Clark star will be heading to Smallville this fall. He is set to play Dr. Curtis Knox – a villain. He is scheduled to appear in episode four of Smallville’s 7th season, which begins September 27. Well, I’m sure there are a lot of Dean Cain fans out there who are going to love this. Of all the Supermen to don the tights, I always thought Cain in his prime fit the part near perfectly. Of course now he’s looking a bit pudgy, so playing a villain is probably the best way to…

ENI also has the trailer for the Spectacular Spider-Man Animated Series that will air on the Kids WB network in 2008. This actually looks pretty good, although the style reminds a lot of the Batman series currently running, and the trailer really reminds me of the intro to Batman: The Animated Series. via ENI

Look no further than this clip obtained by Entertainment News International from the Hasbro Panel at the San Diego Comic Con. With all the negative comments from my first posting on this issue, I don’t see too much wrong with the cartoon – except it doesn’t look like 1980s cartoons.via ENI

DC Comics has acquired the rights to take the online Heroes comics, that gave readers a deeper glimpse into the characters from the hit NBC series, and collect them in a hardcover collection. I’ve already downloaded the 43 Adobe PDF files from the Heroes website, and these are pretty good reads. But because these are online, graphic heavy, and you have to remember to go to the website each week to get the latest installment, I think a bound edition of the issues is a great idea. In addition to the online strip by artists including Michael Turner, Marcus To,…

Rumors on the Internet this morning have Dean Cain in talks with the producers of the CW’s Smallville seiries. There’s no word on what role Dean Cain would play on the show. For those not in the know, Cain played Clark Kent/Superman in the ABC series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Back in the 90’s I really enjoyed watching Lois & Clark, one because it was a Superman related show, and two because Terri Hatcher looked soooooo much better back then. The first two seasons were really good, but the show seemed to go downhill after that.…
