My first instinct was UGLY…then I laughed reading it.
Aside from the fact Bruce Wayne is drawn as a loony (which is arguably true) the Batman, Inc. concept is an interesting one. And it was logical to see Bruce and Dick both with Commissioner Gordon and that Gordon is now “officially” one of the “Bat Family”. The robots are remincent of the bat-bots from Kingdom Come.
Last page was a bit graphic for a general audience comic like Batman, no?
I too thought it was ugly, and then laughed out loud (or at least chuckled audibly) at the last panel of the last page… And “Bruce as Lunatic Do-gooder” is… kinda creepy, in a way. It’s a good thing, i think, but it’s kinda like some of those Elseworld tales of “Batman taking over the world” might be a little closer to the truth than we thought?
Still not interested in this title. Ugly art and limited concept. I’ll give it a pass unless I hear something amazing about it. I’m not making an assessment about quality, because I honestly don’t know enough to formulate an opinion other than what I see here, but there’s just nothing really grabbing my attention. I do hope that it is or becomes and incredibly interesting and well done book because really, who actually wants to spend their hard-earned money on crap?
