“Kids today with their hoops. Never take their eyes off those hoops. When I was a boy, I will tell you, we did not stare at our hoop all day, we actually talked to each other.”
Okay, I laughed so hard at this, I missed what came after. And then when I went back and re-listened, I laughed again at Stephen and Rodrigo making grave agreement noises about the hoop menace threatening today’s kids.
Also, daaaaaayum on Russell shutting down Alder’s concern with a calm dig at his size. I’ve never heard an attempted heart-to-heart in an RPG cut off so flatly or effectively!
Another fun show! I think I still prefer D&D to Pathfinder, but it’s fun to get a glimpse into that system through these entertaining characters presented by these great players and DM. Thanks for the podcast!
I’ve been listening to CH from the beginning again, after taking a long break after the end of the main campaign, season 5 finale. I am really enjoying Sam as the DM, always a treat to hear Rodrigo as a player (I loved his Bard in the 5e D&D stint – especially is use of storytelling to inspire how his magic worked). And Stephen, Mathew, Rob and Brian always bring the A-game to their roleplaying and characterization. Excellent so far! The story hooks and the world building are very intriguing and can’t wait to see where it goes.
What surprised me was that they are already leveling up from level 2 to 3, after just one encounter! Was it a conscious decision by Samantha or the crew as a whole to make this an accelerated campaign to get the listeners to see more of what Pathfinder has to offer?
Keep up the great work!
