Memetic #1
Writer: james Tynion IV
Artist: Eryk Donovan
Publisher: BOOM! Studios
A Meme is an idea that starts with an individual, and then spreads throughout multiple persons and potentially entire societies. Richard Dawkins suggests a meme’s success comes from its effectiveness to the host. But history shows that destructive memes can spread just as rapidly through society. MEMETIC shows the progression of a weaponized meme that leads to the utter annihilation of the human race within 72 hours. The root of this apocalypse is a single image on the internet, a “meme” in the popular sense. A meme that changes everything.

Keep the good work going!.
This might belong in the poll comments itself, but since you guys gave your answers in this episode: First let me honest and say that this is me trolling a bit but also I’m looking for some real debate on this. Based on your reasoning for WW beating Supergirl because Wonder Woman was brought to life by magical or divine means, I’m not sure I buy it. With that line of thinking than characters like Thor, Beta Ray Bill, Captain Marvel and Black Adam should be able to take Superman down more often than not, What happens if Adam and/or Eve walk up and knee Supeman in the family jewels? I have always seen the Kryptonian weakness to magic to be really a factor against arcane/divine based weapons, abilities and spells, not the nature of the opponent itself. Kal and Kara should be able to take physical attacks from “magic” based opponents iand DC has not been consistent on how the weakness magic works or is portrayed.
When has DC been consistent on how ANY of their characters are portrayed? :) It’s the whim of the writer here, and for those answering the poll of the week (week, week, week), we put our own whims and beliefs system into a truly fictional fight.
True and fair enough.
The kid they choose for the Flash movie just looks emo to me, I’m afraid this is gonna be Twilight Flash… and with Dwayne Johnson not being Shazam, my only interest so far is for Konan Aquaman and Clash of he Titans Wonder Woman.
You and others keep referring to the two major companies who are making comic based movies as Marvel and DC when I think you should be saying Marvel and Warner Brothers. There is a much different relationship between Marvel Comics and Marvel Studios, which are both subsidiaries of Marvel Entertainment. DC Entertainment, a subsidiary of Time Warner which, as far as it is concerned, is just a holding company for intellectual property. DC Entertainment has a measure of control over the TV output as that is one of Geof Johns responsibilities as CCO. All the movie stuff is run out of Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment has hardly any input or control over how any of that happens. To think there is a single person with a vision like a Kevin Feige or Joe Quesada steering the DC/Warner Brothers ship is giving them way, way too much credit.
