The Unknown #1 sells out, back to press

    Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherMay 22, 2009Updated:May 22, 20091 Comment1 Min Read

thUnknown_01_CVR_2nd.jpgBoom! Studios announced that Mark Waid’s The Unknown #1 sold out in the first week of release, prompting the company to send the issue back to press to meet demand.

In THE UNKNOWN Waid brings us the smartest person alive, Catherine Allingham, the world’s most famous private investigator. Follow her adventures as she sets out to solve the one mystery she’s never been able to crack!  THE UNKNOWN is a new original mini-series in the vein of RUSE, with international superstar Minck Oosterveer. THE UNKNOWN issue #1 sports covers by Paul Pope and Erik Jones.

“The reaction to THE UNKNOWN has been incredible,” said BOOM! Studios Marketing and Sales Director Chip Mosher in a prepared statement, “It’s refreshing to see the market can support a non super-hero book in this fashion. If you haven’t gotten on board for this mini-series yet, you are missing out!”

The first issue was definetly a good read. Glad it sold out. If it continues to sell well maybe they’ll make it an ongoing series. I am loving a lot of the stuff coming from Boom these days. Hope they keep it up.
