Final girl confronts her fears in It Killed Everyone But Me at Mad Cave Studios

Robot OverlordBy Robot OverlordJune 20, 20252 Mins Read

Mad Cave Studios announced the September release of It Killed Everyone But Me, a psychological horror revenge story by Ryan Parrott and Letizia Cadonici.

Years ago, a brutal slasher massacre in the woods left a group of teens dead. The lone survivor, Sutton Reed, seemingly moved on from the horrific event and is now a successful therapist. But when a new series of murders occurs, Sutton must confront the dark secrets of her past — only to discover the truth is far worse than she ever thought. The real killer has returned, and he’s just getting started.

I grew up loving the slasher films of the ’80s and ’90s. Especially the iconic chatty killers. Freddy. Chucky. Ghostface,” said writer Ryan Parrott in a press release from Mad Cave Studios. “And even though they’ve gone out of style over the years, I always wanted to find a way to create my own. So I started playing with the traditional elements: trouble-making teenagers, an isolated cabin, a haunted final girl. But how do you make that story not feel cliché, and feel personal? That’s when I started to consider: What would it be like to survive something horrific like that? What is that person like twenty years later? It was at that moment that all the pieces fell into place to create the concept for It Killed Everyone But Me—an ’80s slasher about a seemingly well-adjusted alpha woman who not only has to literally dig up her past trauma to save others, but find a way to work with it… even as it’s trying to destroy her. I tried to include all the elements I love about slashers: the gore, the depravity, and the twisted humor… but have it all add up to a story about grief, trauma, and acceptance.”

It Killed Everyone But Me #1 arrives on September 10, 2025.
