Fans of Robin Williams’ take on Popeye might have their corncob pipe spinning in frustration as Cherin and King Features have announced a new live-action film is in development.
On the plus side, the project is in development, which means little to no work has been done, and no final go-ahead or budget has been attached to the project. So it could go nowhere, or it could get fast-tracked and be in the theaters in 2026. According to Variety, screenwriter Micahel Caleo is attached to the project.
