Wayne’s Comics Podcast #615: Interviews with Wells Thompson and Mack Flavelle

Wayne HallBy Wayne HallNovember 19, 20232 Mins Read

It’s another great doubleheader show this week in Episode #615! Wayne talks with Wells Thompson from Depths: Book One, then Mack Flavelle from Oni Ronin!

Wells is back again as a favorite here at the podcast, and he’s discussing his book scripted with Dalton Shannon called Depths: Book One. This book, which has a Zoop.gg project going on until Thursday, November 22, is described this way: “Depths: Book One is a 112-page graphic novel about grief, depression, and the strength it takes to carry on!” We talk about how this series came to be, who the various characters are, and what we can expect from Wells and Dalton in the coming months! Be sure to back this project as soon as you can!

Then everything wraps up with my interview with Mack Flavelle, who has a terrific book called Oni Ronin that is coming out on November 28 from Dark Horse! It’s described this way: “Oni Ronin is a story of cowardice and redemption set in the Sengoku (“Warring States”) period of Japanese history.” We talk about how Mack and this team put this book together, who the various characters are, and what we can expect from Mack in the months ahead! Be sure to let your local comics shop know you want Oni Ronin as soon as possible!
