The Traveler’s Guide to Flogoria to be developed as animated series

Press ReleaseBy Press ReleaseJuly 12, 20232 Mins Read

    PRESS RELEASE

Scout Comics & Entertainment and creator Sam Moore have partnered with Josh Bowen and Look Mom! Productions (Blue Ant Media) to develop Moore’s sci-fi epic adventure tale THE TRAVELER’S GUIDE TO FLOGORIA as an animated series.

TRAVELER’S GUIDE TO FLOGORIA is an epic, alien world-spanning adventure that’s part Mad Max road movie, part Stand by Me coming of age journey, and part otherworldly travel and food show. It’s the story of an average joe, trying to survive in a world that’s 100% not average and 150% not Earth. We follow Harry Blandford as he attempts to navigate his way through the fantastic world of Flogoria. But the bizarre flora, fauna, and customs of his new environment aren’t the only things he has to contend with. He also has to learn to overcome the fears and anxieties of his, at times, uncooperative mind.

Look Mom! recently produced DOOMLANDS, created by Josh O’Keefe, for The Roku Channel. They also produced the award-winning series GARY AND HIS DEMONS, created by Mark Little, which was produced for VRV but later moved to Amazon Prime for its second season.

Josh Bowen wrote and Executive Produced the hit short format animated comedy series Goodwin vs. Badwin. In 2013, Josh joined Blue Ant to launch the adult animated comedy shorts program Bite on Mondo. The shorts were compiled into a series called Night Sweats, which airs on Teletoon and Adult Swim in Canada. Josh is currently spearheading Look Mom! Productions and in his spare time, Josh enjoys writing his bio and referencing himself in the third person.

Scout Comics & Entertainment was founded in 2015 and has over 250 titles in their catalog. Scout books have sold to Disney, Amazon Studios, Rooster Teeth, and FilmNation, among others.
