Our Flag Means Death Finally Gets Season 2 Order
HBOMax waited until Pride Month to announce the season 2 order for their breakout queer pirate hit: Our Flag Means Death. Variety summed up the news succinctly:
The crew of the Revenge are setting sail once again. Comedy series “Our Flag Means Death” has been renewed for Season 2, HBO Max has announced. The news comes almost three months after the show’s first season finished airing this March.
With no additional information we can all assume series stars Taika Waititi and Rhys Darby will be reprising their roles as Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet respectively with the rest of the cast also returning.

Gotham Knights Releases a Trailer

There isn’t much shared here audience members don’t already know, beyond the confirmation that Batman is definitely, absolutely, 100% dead. It’s the void left behind by The Dark Knight that the eponymous Gotham Knights will fill.
However, I’m still betting we’ll get a glimpse of Batman in a flashback or fever dream or memory sequence simply based on the popularity of the character. Think all the teeny tiny Superman cameos we got during the first season of Supergirl despite the fact the show was called Supergirl.
Gotham Knights centers Turner Hayes the not-Dick-Grayson-adopted-son of the Bruce Wayne and protagonist of the universe played by Oscare Morgan. The trailer is driven by Misha Collins’ Harvey Dent who seems to be leaning much more heavily on the best-friend-of-Bruce-Wayne than classic Batman villain, but I see the heel turn coming very quickly in Gotham Knights’ first season simply based on my familiarity with the pacing of The CW’s superhero shows. Fans are also treated to a further exploration of Navia Robinson’s Carrie Kelley who hints at a close relationship with Bruce Wayne – the character who bestowed her with the moniker “Robin”.
Frequent CW watchers will find a very familiar tone in Gotham Knights when it hit December 1st, 2022.
