I generally don’t want to be negative when it comes to the MS-QOTD, but this weekend I made the foolish decision to watch Superhero Movie, a film whose comedy was driven by repeating scenes from 2000s cape and tights flicks verbatim. It also has Tracy Morgan as Professor X, because weird quasi-racism is also a staple of that era. I was saddened to find that it also had input from David Zucker of Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker fame, the folks behind Airplane, The Naked Gun, and the sublime Kentucky Fried Movie, leading to today’s stultified query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) will still always have Top Secret!, asking: What was the last TERRIBLE movie you saw?

A couple months back, I streamed something with Bruce Willis and Frank Grillo called “Cosmic Sin.” That turned out to be a title applicable to the production of the movie.
From “cinema art” standpoint, Snake and Crane arts of Shaolin. A 70’s Jackie Chan movie which may not be high art, but otherwise its glorious and way more entertaining than most of what came out on streaming services this year.
